Fascynujacy potencjal tkwiacy w papierze powoduje, ze coraz wiecej artystów traktuje go jako autonomiczny srodek wyrazu. Wystarczy wspomniec o jego intymnym charakterze, gdy dokonujemy na nim zapisów lub monumentalnym, przy realizacji prac quasi-rzezbiarskich, wlasciwie w nieograniczonym wymiarze. Czesto uzywany jest w instalacjach, performancach i pojmowanej jako obiekt ksiazce artystycznej. Na wystawie "Papierowe obiekty" 19 artystów prezentuje 19 róznych mozliwosci uzycia papieru. Odnajdziemy tu prace zbudowane na sensualnej przyjemnosci obcowania z materia i te, zawierajace pewne cechy sztuki konceptualnej. A decision about using it is, sometimes, a fruit of reflection or calculation, either accidental. A fascinating potential emanating from paper prompts more and more artists to consider it as an independent means of expression. Lets recall its intimate character when we commit our thoughts to writing or monumental features when quasi-sculptural works of practically unlimited dimensions are executed. It is used often in installations, performances and an artistic book conceived as object. On the « Paper objects » exhibition 19 artists are presenting 19 different ways of using paper. We find here works of art based on a sensual pleasure of being in touch with this material, as well as those bearing certain features of conceptual art.
